Delightful term to describe "the white chunky bits that form under the skin of an uncircumcised penis.".

Insult usually said to males by males. Imaginative offensive put down using part of male anatomy.

Leave something early, e.g. leave a game due to boredom, excessive taunting by other players, etc. Marginally politer than saying 'fuck off'.

(1) In the US Army, a dick skinner is a doctor. It comes from when a guy would go to get cured of the clap (VD) and the doc would "skin his dick back" meaning pull the foreskin back so he could get a pus smear on a q-tip for a culture. (ed: all I can say is 'ouch')

(2) The hands of someone who takes a piss but doesn't wash their hands.

Stupid person, or one behaving stupidly.

The nit nurse. Note that in our neck of the woods, we called nits, dickies.

Child suffering from head lice.

Translates into "Attention, attention; a teacher is approaching. Extinguish your cigarettes immediately." Usually accompanied by teacher nickname, e.g. "Dick up, Crogger!".

(2) the results of the excretion of bodily wastes whilst "squatting" i.e. piss or shit. (both meanings commonly used in the U.S.A. - which explains the use in (1)).

Another contribution on usage as follows - but I don't know why? "We know that they are vital to all of mathmatics, but their pattern (if they have one) continues to elude us, although many a lifetime has benn devoted to seeking it out. If diddly squat is as close to squat as makes no nevermind, we know diddly squat about these building-blocks of multiplication.

Peculiar to Exeter area: used in same way as "Joey Deacon", Digby was a hospital for the mentally ill (since turned into a new housing development) on the outskirts of Exeter. When it was still a hospital (with a high rate of patients wandering off and being found confused in people's back gardens), the word "Digby" was used in a similar way to "Joey" (same era) by schoolkids in the surrounding schools.

This term, with exactly the same me aning, was used by a small group of children from Goulburn, NSW c. 1978-1981. Seemed to have been started by one particu lar boy with a vague knowledge of a crap Australian folksinger (I think) named Digby Wolf. Anyway, digby became 'ya dig by wolf' if someone was excessively stupid.

Telephone numbers. e.g. "I'll call you tonight, what's your digits?"

Term used to berate someone for an act of stupidity - "What did you go and do that for, you dildo" used interchangeably with "div", Contributor said using this at primary school caused lots of trouble at the time - but although it was made clear that it was very rude - what one really was wasn't discovered until several years later!
